Fortune Cookie Creations was born from a promise I made to myself in a moment I wasn't sure I would survive.

It began long before it had a name, in the hollow places where a heart learns how to harden just enough to keep beating. Where I learned what it feels like to be alive, but not fully living. I adapted and survived, moving forward while carrying unspoken grief and a longing so deep it felt ancient.

My name is Destiny Starr. 

Fortune Cookie originated as a nickname given to me, but over time it revealed itself as something far deeper. And like everything meaningful in my life, it stayed. It became a re-presentation of God's Love—a miracle I never felt worthy of receiving.

A fortune cookie is designed to break, because only through cracking open does the message inside get revealed.

A traumatized (hardened) heart works the same way. It hardens just enough to endure, while quietly holding wisdom inside, waiting for the moment it's safe enough to crack wide open.

Fortune Cookie Creations exists because I learned that breaking down isn't the only option, breaking through is. What we call collapse is often the moment truth enters. The heart never cracks to be ruined. On the contrary, it cracks to make space for what couldn't enter before.

I wholeheartedly believe that this world needs more intentional leaders who have allowed their hardened hearts to crack wide open—unleashing the wisdom within to illuminate what is possible. Those who call our brothers and sisters out and forward. The wall only breaks for those who don't flinch. And when we come together? We cultivate the courage necessary to breakthrough rather than looping in the same old breakdowns.

 

Breaking down isn't the only option.

Breaking through is.

 

Like kintsugi, the Japanese art of repairing broken pottery with gold, the fracture is not erased but honored, filled with gold, and made stronger than it was before.

The work behind Fortune Cookie Creations is rooted in alchemy and the knowing that nothing lived is ever wasted. There is no being too damaged, broken, or lost. I create because I know what it feels like to move through the world unseen, while carrying depth that you are consistently reminded is "too much" for others.

I remember wondering if I really was alone in this world, or if I would even make it through. There were even many times I didn't want to make it through (and yeah, those ruts are real... and heavy). 

In 2020, when I first began showing up, I made myself a promise that started it all.

If I could reach even one person and remind them that they are not alone, broken, or wrong for feeling so deeply—while allowing them to feel loved, even for a moment—I would never stop.

I haven't stopped since. And I never will.

Fortune Cookie Creations is how that promise lives in the world. Not to sell a false ideal or delusional fantasy, but to remind us that heaven on earth was never a metaphor. It is something we can build, together.

We hold a deep reverence for difference because we have lived what it means to feel misunderstood. Here, diversity is not something to be tolerated or explained away. It is sacred evidence of Source expressing itself through endless forms and perspectives.

 

Difference is not division, it is abundance. 

 

Every offering is created as an act of listening to the subtle messages that arrive when we are finally quiet enough to receive them. This space lives at the intersection of art, intuition, and lived experience. Through our creations, we offer moments of pause in a world that often moves too fast. 

We invite you to remember yourself not as someone to be fixed, but as someone who is already whole.

If you've come across our movement, you may notice the world "cult" used. It is an intentional reclamation of the word.

This is not the cult you think.

The cult is Love. Not as doctrine, but as daily practice.

There are no rules, hierarchies, gatekeepers, identities to adopt, or beliefs to perform. The only requirement is a shared devotion to the idea that Love can be re-presented. Not diluted, commercialized, or distorted—but lived, embodied, and made visible again.

This is not about conformity or power. It is about choosing to see and move differently. Rejecting old scripts while we rewrite them in real-time. Participating in a living vision of what Love looks like when it is conscious, sovereign, and chosen.

Believe whatever you need to believe in order to be kind to yourself, others, the planet, and all living beings. You know, the basics.

We aren't here to tell you who to be, what to believe, or how to live your life. We are simply here to re-present who we are.

Love.

This movement does not arrive with instructions. It meets you where you are and leaves room for what wants to emerge. What you carry forward from here is entirely your own.

• Rebuilding my life. Choosing myself came at a real cost. I lost almost everything. Your support helps me pay off debt, regain stability, nourish my body, and stay connected to community rather than trapped in the limitations of survival mode.
• Expanding Fortune Cookie Creations. My vision is not just to start a movement, but to open sanctuaries across the globe—spaces for people (and animals, and nature) to start over, rooted in shared responsibility, care, contribution, and intentional living. We'll also create merchandise and products in collaboration with intentional artists, using natural supplies that empower us to express ourselves boldly and authentically—reminding us we were born to stand out, not to fit in.
• Creating Conscious Education. Programs that nurture curiosity, individuality, and self-trust instead of blind obedience—honoring children as they are, rather than teaching them to disappear.

At 26 years old, after living in over 30 homes, my biggest goal is to build a home—not just be a temporary guest in others'. While witnessing others doing the same—breaking out of the cages they were born into and creating lives they don't want to escape from.

Fortune Cookie Creations is not about personality or branding. It is about giving humanity permission, language, and tools to reclaim their lives. Above all, it is about igniting chains of transformation—one reclaimed heart sparking another—being the liberating generation paving the way for those who follow.
